Quick Search by Provider's Name

Can we add "Provider's Name" to the Quick Search/Find Providers box that appears on the home screen and the first page of the Reviews section?

By far the two most common searches I do are

1. Phone number
2. Providers Name

What about others? How are you using the search section?  My hunch is that the current choices in the Quick Search/Find Providers box are not getting much use...

The two types of search are:

1. Finding a SPECIFIC provider--usually by either name/city or phone number, but sometimes by other details when you aren't sure about her name or number. Advanced Search is overkill for the former but good for the latter, and Quick Search is useless for either.

2. Finding a SELECTION of providers who meet a set of criteria--when location is all you want, Quick Search does virtually nothing that New Reviews doesn't already do. Including 'Age' seems pretty arbitrary as the only personal criteria. Not that age isn't important, but why that and not, e.g, rating, price or service type? If I'm going to limit according to age, I'll just go to Advanced Search and use some of the other criteria available there. So again, I use New Reviews or Advanced Search to find a selection and never Quick Search.

So my thing is let's find a way to make quick search useful.

The idea of having a quick search capability is a good one.  I know it would save me a lot of time and make the TER a more useful resource.  So, with a couple of very simple tweaks, I think it could really improve the site.  My suggestion would be:

  1. Phone Number Search
  2. Provider Name Search

What do others think???

My fingers hit the keys too fast.

But I have tried searching and "nothing" ever returns.
I try searching for a common ordinary word that I positively know has been mentioned here and I get "nothing"  "no data" ever regardless of what I search for?

I've also tried changing the day's or date range I'm searching with, nothing?
What's up with that?

It has always worked as expected for me. I have seen others with complaints similar to yours. Maybe it's some browser-dependent bug.

(BTW, you do realize that this thread has been about Review Search, not Board Search, I hope.)
