When a member posts with an alias, I wish you would display the envelope icon so people could send mail to that alias, and your software would send it to the appropriate member.
A related request is for a member to be able to send/reply mail using his alias.
Very good idea, I checked into it and the programmers said it would be a hard job considering the way the private messages works is entirely different than the Message boards work. Also it would also allow people to write mail with an alias (they would have to in order to reply to someone's mail) With some of the problems that came up in the message boards with aliases, I am a little afraid of opening that can of worms.
