I just was reading a thread from the TER mailbag and it said something about not having enough activity in the Discussion Boards. I dont know about you, but I think the layout of the Page is kinda hard to read. Maybe this discourages discussion, I dont know. If you look at TBD, the topics are easier to read and they dont look quite as busy on the eyes as it is in TER. Just something I noticed, and I dont know if thats the case or not.

it would be helpful if old threads were bumped to the top when they received a new reply. Someone replied to an old thread today in Boston but it was on page 3. Who's going to see it. The only reason why I saw it is because I use the FIND MESSAGES tool and set the date range to 1 day ago.

If bumping threads with new replies to the top is not possible, how about a filter that will only show new messages since the last time you logged on?

I could see that trying to have the boards customized for each user would be a huge hassle. Having to keep track of which messages each user has read, and the last time they logged on, is quite a big database issue.

I fully agree with bumping threads to the top.  This would be a big help.
