ISO's that are out of date or no longer relevant...

here's my 2 cents...

it would be nice if those fellas that post an iso and find a suitable companion/or it becomes otherwise irrelevant, would make that secondary post that says "thanks everyone! i'm all set"

or better yet, give the OP the option to close the discussion to comments once the iso becomes irrelevant to them.

and/or when posting a new thread, have a  field for an "expiration date" for new comments

You're right, it would be nice if everyone posting an ISO would follow up with it.

As far as the "give the OP the option to close the discussion" every OP always has the option to delete their own thread. I know that's not what you meant exactly, but if it's going to be closed, does it really matter if it's gone?

Personally, I probably wouldn't delete or close an ISO of mine. Maybe I found someone for that instance or whatever, but if a provider found it and raised her hand because she believed she fit the bill for what I was looking for, even well after the fact, hey maybe I'll see her next time or whatever. It could be a good way to find someone. Maybe.

I can see your side though. Thinking its a lead but it's all over. I'm sure that's frustrating.
