There are a lot of Newbie questions on other boards.  Maybe they don't know the Newbie board is a discussion board like the others.  They might think it is just a place where the standard Frequently Asked Questions are asked and answered with no opportunity to post their own.

thinking it had no discussions, then I went to check it out and found out that it was quite and interesting board.

A better name might be:

Newcomers Discussion Board.

(I hate the term "newbie" anyways.)
