Sometimes there are things I need/want and I'd be happy to do a little trade if everyone was happy with the arrangement!

Its a great idea, especially during these economic times.  
I have been doing that already with a small group of friends and neighbors and it was been great.

I am not sure TER would add another board for this.

Bartering is not allowed on TER for a reason, so don't count on it.

I can see it now. Will fuck for laptop. Will fuck for flat screen. Will fuck for plane ticket, etc.
Those type of exchanges will lead to no good and taint the review system with deals gone bad.

I do see your point and I am sure there would be some exchanges gone awry, but that happens in this industry anyway as you'll know from reading some of board drama.  Obviously it would be a personal decision between 2 people, we are all taking a chance when meeting a stranger as it stands.

CL and BP do not have the same community as TER, which is why I suggested it here.  Maybe you're right.
Not sure why you felt the need to use an alias just to state an opinion.  Opinions are what this board is for.

Some providers can't handle showing up for cash, let alone showing up for that laptop.

I assume you would volunteer as mediator for all the deals gone bad, lol.

Alias or not, my view is the same. It's my message, not my fake name that matters.

I can just see the arrangement: I'll agree to have sex with a provider if she in turn teaches me Spanish or something like that.

I can't see any down-side to this at all!
