Excellent Idea!

Just a thought... why doesn't TER use SSL (you know... "https://" instead of just "http://") for this site.  Digital certificates are inexpensive and easy to install, and this would encrypt all traffic between the users browser and TERs server(s).  As present, anyone able to capture network traffic between the user's browser and the server could easily re-assemble and review the content.  I'm sure all of us would prefer more privacy if it is easily done.

I understand there are other privacy steps that individuals can take (proxies, etc.), but I thought I'd throw this idea out there for consideration by the owners/managers of the site, and for comment by other members.

Thanks,

JustForKix,

That's a great idea.

Even Google GMail starting doing that a few years back and even the volume of spam emails has gone down... no, it's not gone completely, but down as compared to before SSL.

It would give a bit more accurate reading of TER's content and provide more security with users' information. It's not entirely foolproof, but still a good method to implement.
