I have disputed several reviews over the years. Sometimes TER agrees that they are fake and shouldn't be allowed and sometimes they let them stay. So far I have been satisfied with TERs investigations. I haven't always been happy with their decisions, but I have felt like they tried to do the right thing. Not this time.
I went to NYC in April with my family and that was the only time I've been there 2016. Because I was there with my family I only saw two people one day while my family went out for dinner and to a play. The review popped up in July and wasn't pre-dated for April. I contacted both of the people I saw and they both denied writing the review. I tried contacting the reviewer who never replied to me. I presented all of that information to TER.
They quickly decided in favor of the reviewer, who has maybe 15 reviews already up.
It wasn't a bad review, I just don't believe it Should be allowed. I've had a 10/10 review removed that I thought was fake.
Maybe I did meet with the reviewer, but not in 2016, unless one of the two clients were lying and I really don't think that they were.
It makes me angry. I feel like my side of the story was more factual. I only saw two people. It wasn't hard to figure out that they didn't write the review, and if they didn't write it it was more than seven months old, or fake. I felt like all The reviewer had to do was just lie about when we met and they believed him over me. I honestly don't even feel like they ever took enough time in replying to consider that I might have a point, and they didn't treat me like I had a legitimate concern.
I know they have to make a decision and I'm sure people complain about their reviews all the time. Even if they couldn't decide in my favor, I would've appreciated a little bit more respect and consideration. That would have gone a long way with me in this situation
