With all of the great calamities confronting humanity  in the early years of the 21st century C.E., this little quibble may seem a bit trivial. My concern is with ass length. Actually, my concern is with hair length, which TER suggests may in some cases be considered to be "ass length." While TER may feel the need to offer four different ways to say that a lady's hair is short, we do not feel the need to offer a category that falls anywhere between mid-back and ass. By taking a ruler to the posterior of a friend of mine, I was able to determine that this leaves over a foot (13 inches) of possible hair length unaccounted for. This seems to me to leave an awful lot (possibly miles in total length) of quite beautiful hair without any place to be categorized. A waste, and a shame, IMHO.  Given that a lady occasionally suggests that hair which passes her shoulders should be considered "mid-back,' this designation may no longer suggest the long and luxurious locks that some of us crave so desperately. What can we do to resolve this monstrous gulf in our ability to describe a lovely lady? My humble suggestion is that we add a category to hair length and call it "waist length." Thank you
