Approving a providers request to remove a link to an ad site

These sites scrape our pics from websites and then toss up any stats or info they want!

A few providers have successfully gotten themselves removed from such places, but many more of us have not been so fortunate.

How does having links to these ads benefit TER?  (I'm not intending to sound challenging, but rather, curious!)

If the lady has other ads or a personal website, isn't that enough?

Doesn't having a long list of links actually clutter things up?

If not, then maybe I should ask to have links to EVERY. SINGLE. VISITING. AD. I currently have running added to MY profile.  LOL.  That would look messy, IMO, but maybe that's what TER wants?     ;-)

Oh, and cuz my ho-brain just won't turn off, ever: gotta say I had to seize this opportunity to get under the sexylicious Devin!  It might be my only one!!  :-)

If we remove the ad and it gets reported as a website/ ad for you, it will be added back to your profile.

We have found ads do get deactivated. Some in a matter of hours, some up to 2 weeks. Most are not consistent in how long it takes.

There are sites out there which will NOT deactivate an ad, no matter what.  Why should these links remain?

If the provider wants it removed from her profile, can't you do so an then somehow make a note NOT to add that link back if someone does report it?

If you cannot make such a note, then how about this: you remove the link at the provider's request.  Someone reports that ad and it goes back up.... and then the lady again requests its removal.  And round and round and round we go.....  ???

I'm not saying I have a solution, but it seems beneficial to the hobbyists to NOT have ad links which contain outdated and/or just plain wrong information.  :-

4 ad links, a personal website link, and a blog link. I agree with the IP tgatlinks to those bogus sites should be able to be removed by the providers, but I'm just clarifying your question about unlimited links.

In the past providers were allowed to remove links and not have them return, even though the link was still active. I know this because I have submitted problem reports in the past to add links to a provider's profile and they were turned down. These were not bogus sites like sugarnights but sites such as EROS. I have had problem reports come back as unapproved with the reason being "the provider does not wish to have this link on her profile."

^^^^They used to do exactly that! See my reply below. Not sure when that changed.

If you don't have it already, I think you should have a data field for deleted links. It can remain hidden (not displayed in the Profile).

One reason is to deal with the main subject of this thread: requested URL deletions.

Another reason has to do with touring Providers who sometimes change their name or some other minor detail and end up with duplicate profiles. My best examples come from the touring K-girls.
Cherry is in LA and is listed on the main page of an agency website with a link to her pics.
Cherry leaves for Las Vegas. The LA agency removes her thumbnail from the main page but her picture URL still works, if you remember it.
In LV, same thing: Cherry goes up on the main page and link to her pics.
Now, when you try to report that Cherry in LV is the same as Cherry in LA you can't prove it with the pictures links because you can't remember her LA pic URL.  If you kept LA-Cherry's "deactivated" link in her Profile, you could compare them to the pics in LV-Cherry's profile and merge based on that proof.

Same idea, but sometimes they change their names: LA-Cherry becomes LV-Kelly ... but the pictures would prove that they are the same.

KEEP OLD URLs IN A HIDDEN DATA FIELD!

Thank you.

You should be able to take down the stuff that you yourself didn't put up or approve.

She's talking about "ads" on sites that she can't deactivate because she never wanted it there in the first place.

These sites are almost impossible to take down.  Even when you do, they end up live again within a month.  It would be so helpful to the ladies if these sites weren't on this site as most guys think this is the best place to find accurate  info on the ladies.

One site has me up with really old photos (which I haven't used in years)... not fair to the guys.  Inaccurate rates and info I don't want on the site.

Yes, I don't understand this policy! It really bothers me...even if TER is slanted to clients it serves them to not have old, inaccurate info. Also one of mine had a virus on it. Please change this policy.
