I'd like to ask this more from an admin / programming point-of-view ...... but I suppose any other thoughts / suggestions would be more than welcome.

There's a situation in NY where a number of women's bodies were recently found on Long Island.  These murders are an obvious concern for the ladies of NY, NJ, and CT - and for any visiting lady.

My question is simple - hopefully.

I frequent other internet boards that use " STICKIES " - where a post or message of some type is maintained at the top of that board's first page.  Are stickies possible here on TER ??   Or is there some type of temporary " newsflash / headline " type of thing that could be used / created ??

Granted there is a ladies-only board - but a recent NY post raises the point that a situation such as this should be more public, at least from a safety / awareness standpoint.

If something is going to be posted by hobbyists only, that should be visible only to the hobbyists; and vice versa for providers. There are too many women that trash other women, etc. I do not trust other providers to have access to be able to trash me. This business is tough for some women right now, and the ones hurting the worst have the most time to do this.

obligation to keep us aware of what is going on around us. That responsibility lies with us.

More then likely TER does not want to turn into a news service and especially when it involves anything to do with LE.

Again, just my own opinion.
