... but after spending the afternoon playing with it, I have to say I like it overall. It's quite intuitive. It's clean and simplified. Everything you need is readily available at the top of the page. It's different, and will take a bit to get accustom to, but change is good.

However, I have to agree with the majority on the discussion boards. The new format just isn't as efficient as the old format. Further I see great potential for the new format to be abused. Each time a new post is added to a thread, that thread gets bumped to the top of the page. With visibility being a mainstay of advertising... well, I think you can see where I'm going.

It seems to be flash based and the Blackberry doesn't support it.  Unless I'm missing something.  I guess I will have to get the iphone now.

Apple has made news for some time now for refusing to run flash on any of their equipment.  I have an iPhone, and anything using flash just shows up as a little box.

I'm not seeing any Flash objects on the pages (at least not in the message forums) but I'm seeing a ton of JavaScript.  Perhaps that is causing your Blackberry grief?

Peace...

Once you are used to a message board format -- a hierarchical format like original one here or a forum format like the beta -- you tend to want to stay that way. I do. I have posted on many forums and message boards and I think the forum format, as in the beta, is better. It is less cluttered and bumping up a thread when there is a new post eliminates duplicate threads.

As for the seven-day ad rules. I would think that that needs to change. Does anyone know if that's the case?
