No-call, No-show

I know this is a policy discussion, but really who reads the policy boards and I wanted some popular feedback.

No-shows rated in reviews

I have had a few providers no-show, or call at the last minute saying how about 3 hours from now. While I appreciate that this happens to providers as well, it is something I think that should be mentioned in the review section.

If a provider's rating somehow reflected reliability, we could make a reasonable judgement on whether or not to see that "amazing", "once in a lifetime" provider that might not show or will probably be an hour late.

Without ever seeing a particular provider, they no-showed, I cannot share this info anywhere directly related to that provider.

One can search the discussion boards but I think it would be helpful if it were part of the profile.

Thanks,

... I also see the problems with implementing something like this.

Some potential problems are:

* How does TER verify that the NCNS really happened?  At least with a review, there's details to allow the provider to challenge it if it's a fake review.  But how would a provider challenge an NCNS that never happened?

* This will work only for providers who already have a TER profile.  If there was no meeting with the provider, there likely won't be enough info to create a profile--not one that's very useful anyway.

* What if there was a good reason for the NCNS, such as a medical emergency?  They do happen.  And suppose the client finds out about that only after posting the NCNS report.  There would need to be a way for NCNS reports to be updated.  But the damage might already be done.

* It's one-sided. As you said, this happens to providers too.  But only the NCNSes by providers will be posted.  If this is implemented, how about allowing providers to flag clients for NCNS also?  Of course, that would have some of the same kinds of problems I mentioned above.

This topic came up just 5 days ago (and many times prior to that). Hay! That post, "No-shows rated in reviews," was YOUR post!
.
We kind of have the general idea (idea suggestion) but no one seems to have a workable implementation (how to do it suggestion).
.
And it was never part of the idea of TER in the first place.
.
For now, it will have to be kept to Discussion Boards and PMs.

I mean really ? Unless u are dealing with sketchy providers who tend to get drunk or strung out on drugs at an appointment I would that this being their source of money most would show up. But perhaps maybe I am different than others! I have never ncns to any job let alone clients! If I did it was because they did not confirm the morning of and did not answer my texts or emails. My only guess as to a reputable provider Ncns is another person offered more money. Money is top in this hobby if you are only doing a half hour  and someone offers an hour or more and/or it's a reliable client and you are a newbie....

Those would be my guesses. Sorry that happened to you.

Search for that topic on this board , the General Board, and alm the regional boards. You could be entertained for weeks.
