Members should be able to delete their own posts. At least VIP members.
I posted a question as to whether anyone has seen a certain provider. It was pointed out to me, in the thread, the post was inappropriate, so I asked the thread be removed. I did not intend to breach any etiquette or rules. The moderators agreed to delete part of thread but not in its entirety. Why? If I am a paying member I should be able to delete a message I post. I do not understand the rationale for not allowing me to do so.
You can go in and edit to remove the contents. After the 4 hours, you are at the mercy of the board admin(s). If you state the legitimate reasoning behind deleting it, I am sure they will comply
I was unaware of the time window. I was past the window when a provider advised the post was inappropriate. My poor judgement was unintentional, and I should have been able to have the complete thread deleted upon request.
