If I where a provider I wouldn't want a website about escorts with no track record for doing any sort of research at all doing my screening for me. TER is not about that. Frankly, neither of my favs will even take a TER handle or white listing as any sort of verification.
This is a great site but seriously, spend a few minutes reading some of what passes for reviews around here and then ask yourself if the folks who approve those reviews are the same folks you want doing verification for you...
Personally, if I were you, I would work on ways to rely less on reviews and then you would not have to worry as much about the juicy details being out there for all to see.
In terms of TER showing less of our information, I am open to that of course. I am quite discreet and do not even like reviews in the first place, so the less the public can see, the better for me. However, I am not sure how TER would go about doing this. They have their niche in this hobby and are quite good at it, so making more features less accessible (beyond scores) might not be a good move on their part. Of course, I would love it if they implemented a $100 membership fee to see the services I offer, but that it not going to happen! LOL.
I understand your concerns, in fact, both of my ATF's steer clear of TER for the exact reasons that you mention.
Unfortunately, TER is a profit making venture. I can't see them implementing anything more than the current $20 a month VIP fee in order to view a gal's reviews. You have to understand that the profit making is customer generated here, not provider driven and decide if you want to be reviewed or not.
This site is here for one single reason: We all work hard for our money and we don’t want to waste it on someone who doesn’t deliver as promised. We are also dedicated to finding those special women who truly enjoy making the time we spend with them something special.
The site is not here to serve the ladies, sorry. It seems that this fact is often forgotten. It is here to help guys better identify the best selections for them. So ladies schedules, board inputs, etc. help that. Masking their services does not.
1) How would TER know that a man is not LE? What possible way would that be possible?
2) Even if TER linked to any of the other reference places, why would those places allow TER to do this? How would those places stay in business?
3) What about the men who work for LE but not in the position to "bust" women? They are hobbyists just like anybody else?
4) What if TER got it "wrong" with someone, and you were arrested because of that? It would open up potential lawsuits against TER.
So, there is no way TER would or could ever verify anybody on a specific handle.
As to what others see, TER is for the men to determine who they would like to see. It is not for the women to keep private what they do not want others to see.
1) TER doing increased screening to keep out LE and other elements deemed undesirable. This would not be easily done, and would certainly have a price tag. Who pays this, the hobbyist or provider?
2) Ladies selectively having the ability of hiding parts of their profile, or to edit it? Bad idea IMO. This could, and would, be abused, and would likely render TER less useful to us hobbyists. One the most important values of TER membership is in revealing B&S, YMMV, and ROB providers. Allowing ladies the ability to hide or edit profiles, services, and details gives such providers the ability to obscure this. These are critically important tools for hobbyists, and is in fact what we paying for.
Just my three pennies on this rainy Weds. afternoon...
