Well it was almost a miracle, but Brazil beat the U.S. in the end.
The Americans, however, played really well, and certainly deserve kudos for their effort.
Its had me excited about USA soccer and that is saying something. Lets now forget they still beat Spain. Let's hope the effort level carries through the remaining World Cup qualifying and on to 2010!
I did watch the match. Altho I was thrilled the USA got this far, Brazil's speed and quickness was too much in the 2nd half. It was like watching an SEC team, or USC playing the Big Ten. Just a bit better at the skilled positions.
I am not an expert either but a friend of mine who watches soccer scoffed at the US efforts and said having a 2-nil lead at half is like losing a 7 run lead in the 7th. I do not know how he made that analysis but I am baseball fan and if that the case, can you say CHOKE
