It's been 20 years since their last championship, and 15 years since ND challenged seriously for a title. The college football landscape has changed dramatically in that time.

Their last three coaches (David, Willingham, Weis) have all performed almost exactly the same.

I think the best ND can hope for is a BCS berth every 5 years or so. Not sure why that isn't good enough for them.

Weiss won't be looking for a new job in 2010.  He'll just be living off the payout he negotiates with ND after they fire him.  Brian Kelly will be the Notre Dame coach in 2010
