He's the MLB umpire who missed a call in a game in 2010 that cost Detroit's Armando Galarraga a perfect game. People everywhere were clamoring for his dismissal! Monday night, a stadium food service worker in Arizona was glad that he was still on the job. Joyce noticed that the lady had stopped breathing after she had suffered a seizure. He immediately administered CPR and continued to do so after the arrival of the first responders. Doctors later said that the quick work of Joyce and the first responder had very likely saved the woman's life. Way to go Jim,  you're a real hero!

For saving her life, however, I bet this  time next year most will not remember this but will still remember him for fucking up the perfect game.  Sad in a way.
