It's a shot of the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" ad but Tony Romo's head is photoshopped onto it.  The tag line says:  "I don't always fumble or throw INTs...But when I do it's at the end of the game."

Because he is a good looking and personable man (with a laundry list of famous girlfriends) and because he is the QB of the Dallas Cowboy, the perception of Tony Romo among many fans and media outlets is that he is an elite NFL QB. He has been given a free pass into stardom. The reality is that in his 6th season he still at times plays like an unseasoned rookie. He makes the worst mistakes at the most in-opportune times. There is NO way they should have lost to the Lions yesterday after building a huge lead. But Romo made so many crucial mistakes that allowed Detroit to steal the game. I think Romo is a good NFL QB who can be successful. He has all the tools to be elite. But the bottom line he has to deliver in crunch time and ultimately in the postseason.

QB's are fairly or unfairly judged on playoff victories and ultimately Super Bowl championships. Unless you have the statistical career of Dan Marino (which Romo never will) you simply can not be elevated to elite status until you have postseason success.

I see where you coming from here but I don't think he is a good NFL QB and really has the tools to be one. You can't continue to make the critical mistakes year after year, game after game and be considered good. I don't think the Cowboys will ever go anywhere with him as their QB. The elete QB ranks are such that a medicore QB will never make the grade.

And I say this as a Giants fan.  He's been good the last couple  of games and he was great during their  run to the Super Bowl.  But, man, does he do dumb things at times.  Even truly elite QBs will throw an interception under pressure, but Eli makes more than his fair share of dumb throws.  Romo ain't the only one.  Honestly, it's too soon to tell if Eli is any better than Romo, despite his Super Bowl  win.

got a point. I kind of put Eli, Romo and Sanchez all on the same rung of the ladder.

based on the last few games, Sanchez doesn't seem to be making much progress, does he?
