Which golf course are you talking about?

The British Open had bad weather once and that was yesterday.

On the other hand the US Open played down right pathetic, easy. I respect Darren Clarke's  win more than i do Rory McIlroy.

He shoots 19 under par on a easy golf course. And now on a difficult course hes not even in contention.

And to think the odds makers had him as the favorite.

Ok, you did see the weather conditions they played in, correct?

Everybody keeps talking about Congressional playing easy at The U.S. Open, but the problem wasn't the course, it was the rain that made the greens receptive to approach shots. From that standpoint the course played "easier." However, Rory just about lapped the rest of the field so he deserves our respect.
The wind whipping off the ocean made the course play extremely difficult this past weekend and some of the best players in the world had major problems with it. Rory hits the ball really high which is a detrement in this kind of setting. -5 winning the thing should tell you something about how tough it was. Couldn't have been a better champion or story than Clarke winning.
