Even his peers are rooting for R-Fed to win the French, now that Rafa lost. It will be one amazing celebration if he does.

On a lighter note...YES, SERENA WILLIAMS LOST!!!!! WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I hope Sampras stays ontop

I'm actually hoping Sodderling or whatever his name is meets and beats him in the finals. Or I'm hoping Del Potro can pull it off. I think he plays Fed. I do like and admire Roger F but Sampras is King and I hope he stays ontop of the throne.

If Roger loses it will destroy him mentally because he already can taste it without Nadal in the picture.

If he does win however I will be happy for him and know that he earned it.

I honestly think that Sodderling guy just may be charmed and will win.

Both R Fed, Pete Sampras, Johnny Mac & Martina play/ed with a one hand back hand. I always root for the guy/girl who plays this way! I'm a traditionalist.

I haven't been following tennis since Pete retired He was the last classic player. It seems Federer beating his record is just a matter of time though.

Lately it has been a little more interesting with the competition Rafa has given R-Fed, but you have to respect what the guy did. His being up to potentially tie Sampras's majors record is a sign he has had an amazing run. It will be interesting if he does win on Sunday to see if he can win the 15th against Rafa somewhere.

The ladies side was much more interesting until the past year or so. When you had Justine Henin battling it out with the Williams brats and Sharapova just coming up and Seles and Capriati trying for comebacks and stuff like that going on earlier this decade, the ladies side was fun. The past year or so, no one seems to do well at more than one major, so there is just too much swirling of names going around, but it is still more interesting than the mens side.

Federer is pure class just as Sampras was/is........

You just don't get much classier of a player then either of those two. I love how Roger puts on a jacket for most of the ceremonies after playing.

This is his year especially with Rafa out! Rafa is too strong for him at least right now and I really want him to get this having never won a French. He DESERVES it more than any player playing in tennis right now and still is one of the BEST players to ever play the game. All you have to do is look at his record!
