Although you allude to the fact the Mcnabb signed for 78 million, you have to ask yourself with the labor agreement that is about to expire are the good times really about to come to an end. The reason I say that is that you don't know what the new stipulations of the next CBA are going to be. Also if you were an agent would you be angling to sign a contract sometime before the March deadline date considering the uncharted waters that I mentioned previously. This is almost the concomitant of say the Adult Entertainment Industry saying their is a cap on what you can make a year if you guys had a union.  Also what are sides going to give up and how much money is out there from the television contracts and the like. All fair questions as the players are at the precipice of being locked out in March.

But stranger things have happened.. First of all, I think the owners need to stop being greedy. The players are the ones who make the game what it is today. The pie should be split 50/50 with the owners and the players.  The price of tickets to an NFL game has gotten so far out of control, it is scarey.
