Well he may not be better but Rapid Redux is a few wins away from breaking the North American record for consecutive victories. He goes for 18 wins in a row Friday night at Mountaineer Park. 19 is the record held by Zenyatta and another horse that ran on a lower level, Peppers Pride. Anyone who is familiar with the nature of the sport knows that a streak of this length is amazing, regardless of the level.

Pretty good investment too I would say, the horse was claimed (bought out of a race) for $6,250 just short of a year ago. He has since won 18 of 19 races for his new owner/trainer and has banked over $130,000, again almost unheard of in the claiming game.
