Dude, I'm with you on cycling (sorry, Sparky!) and soccer, but hockey?  Hey, it may not be one of the big three, but there are plenty of American hockey fans.  Been to Detroit lately?

Menchov handgs onto the pink jersey despite a fall in the final kilometer during the time-trials in Rome.

Are you intentionally trying to be an ass, or trying some dry humor?

and the don't-pass-the-puck-more-than-two-lines rule you'd have 10-20 goals a game and it would be much more interesting than a snoozefest interrupted by the occasional brawl.

There isn't a "no cherrypicking" rule in basketball.  If a guy wants to stay in the front court while his team plays 4 on 5 on defense, it's allowed. Give hockey the same option; at least there's a goalie to try to stop a shot.

a major sport, although certainly fourth behind football, baseball and basketball.  But cycling and soccer?  Forget it!  Rugby League is far more interesting than soccer.

When the World Cup was played in the U.S., they wanted the final game to be played in Michigan Stadium.  Michigan effectively told the World Cup to go fuck itself - Michigan Stadium was for football only, and with only a couple of exceptions, just MICHIGAN football.  Hell, the Detroit Lions tried for years to get their home games in Michigan Stadium, and Michigan told them to get lost too.  The World Cup people were astounded that the University of Michigan wouldn't let them play the Championship game in Michigan Stadium.  But those of us who know the Big Ten knew that would happen - it's soccer, and that doesn't rate as a sport in football country.  I'm sure the response would be the same in SEC and Big 12 country as well.  They eventually played that game in the Rose Bowl.  That's UCLA's home field, so I guess they needed something to fill it!

How long before his positive doping test results come back?

Who finished second, so we can crown them as the "winner" in a couple of days?

Cycling has a REAL problem. I am an avid rider and a fan of the sport, but they have lost my trust as far as doping is concerned. It's completely out of control.

Everyone knows that there is no doping in cycling!

What's next, ...steriods in baseball players??
