How do you lose a 10 game wild card lead in one month? Well I'm guess the Yankees are asking how did we become the first team to lose a series when leading 3-0?

the Rays finally won a game and are now 1 1/2 back for the wild card.  With Wakefield and Lackey pitching tomorrow, it's hard to tell when the Sox will stop their slide.  Just saw some stats that compared their September to the '62 Mets.  The Mets, who lost 120 games that year, had better September stats than the Sox.  They need to sweep the Yanks tomorrow but I think they'll be lucky to split.

Given how poor Red Sox starting pitching has been lately, even if they do manage to hand on, it's hard to see them reversing course 180 degrees against the Tigers.  Still, the Red Sox haven't blown the lead...yes, they've given back 8.5 of those games, but still have time to regroup.  Their destiny is still in their hands...if you Nation fans have any faith at all, now is the time to support them!

Probably worse than what the Sox are doing now, but we'll have to see if they can right themselves. But, if I were a Red Sox fan, I wouldn't push the "Yankees choke" button too hard.  So the Yanks  choked in '04?  How many times have the Sox choked in years past?  What about '78? (The Boston Massacre, Bucky Dent)  What about '86? (Bill Buckner).  And on and on.

Red Sox -- 2
Yankees -- 27
So I say to the Sox and their fans: Go win two dozen more World Series, then come talk to me.
Wonder how many more the Yanks will have won by then?  And, BTW, I don't think anyone will beat the Phillies this year.

who were with us during civil war. I have total respect for Boston and wish them the best of luck, it's not there fault clay had back problems, I am sure clay will hit golf course. I cant wait for 2 more weeks my jets and pats , I HOPE WE can stay within 2 TD of patriots, Mr. Brady is greatest QB ever, we have to give him major props. To Sara I am only only 1 person go to P&R board, i am sure you would love robertini, ww,priapus, and many others, I am civil individual person here, I am going to church now and pray for misfortunate, remember we are all americans, brothers and sisters, I LOVE EVERYONE, PRAISE LORD.

Did Admin threaten to moderate you if you didn't tone it down?  Remember, at the end of the day, this is a hobby board, and all of us are supposed to support each other in our hobbying pursuits.  As for sports, most of us are trying to be civil, while still being able to rib each other good-naturedly.
