The fluke plays that happened in the 1st half. Peyton won me a lot of cash this year so I'm not gonna bad mouth my boy.

I don't think this SB would have enhanced (if he played well and the Broncos won) or detracts from(since the Broncos were humiliated) Peyton's legacy.

Those that want to tout Peyton as the greatest QB that ever lived, will point to his 5 MVPs (2 more than anyone else has won), his impeccable and virtually flawless regular season performances, the fact that his teams are always in the playoffs, his incredible durability (the neck surgery had nothing to do with being injury prone), and the fact that he'll prob. hold most significant passing records in NFL history  

Those that do not want to tout Peyton as the greatest QB of all time, will point to his sub .500 playoff record (several of those losses are on him) and now his 1-2 mark in the SB.  Fairly or unfairly QB's are judged by Championships (see Dan Marino and Dan Fouts and how they are often perceived in QB rankings)  

This game did nothing to detract from Peyton's legacy. He's an immortal and how you place him in history really has to do with how you decide to evaluate his body of work.
