I so hated making my biggest bet of the week in order to either, not have to pay on a losing week, or cleaning up on a winning week, but then having to subject myself to 3 hours of Joe fucking Morgan and his idiot sidekick.

Good fucking riddance

worst network announcer since Dizzy Dean.  And not personable or funny like Dean was back in the 60s.  Morgan is an arrogant snob.  It was so easy to hate the Big Red Machine back in the day with him and that fucking dick Pete Rose on the same team.

There will be a new broadcast team in the booth for the next Sunday night broadcast. ESPN has announced that the contracts of Joe Morgan and Jon Miller will not be renewed for the 2011 season. Miller will most likely stay on with ESPN Radio. Dan Shulman has been mentioned as a possible replacement. With those two gone, the games might actually be bearable now.

He's one of the all-time greats.  Just never liked Morgan.

But, after 21 years, maybe ESPN just wanted a different sound.

EAAAASSSSSY NOW. John Miller is the bomb. He was the Oriole's announcer for years.  Joe Morgan predicted the Giants would make the Series -- on opening day no less.  I liked the two of them together and hope ESPN knows what they are doing in letting them go.

has been around the game of baseball for many years.  Morgan, on the other hand, supposedly told some stories that were not true.

after 20 plus years, whether you like them or not, it's time for a change.

and you don't have a life. LOL It's not a bad idea, send the network an email you never know. Is there a baseball widow?

In only his first year behind the microphone, I thought John Smoltz was amazing and very easy to "listen to." On top of that, he's a really good guy.

Show some teams besides the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Phillies, Cubs, or Dodgers.  Back in the '90's they used to show at least one game from each of the stadium, guarantying that every team was shown at least once.  Now it's the same teams every week.  No wonder the baseball stadiums were near empty in most places and the TV ratings tanked this past season.

Oh, I agree completely. They need to stop catering to the major markets and show some of the teams in other parts of the country. I think I looked at it one night in late August and the Astros were playing the Mets in New York. Like anyone cared about that game!
