Ben is actually in great shape (for him). He is still a tough QB to get down. What makes him dangerous is his escapability in the pocket. He has the ability to move around in the pocket, avoid defenders and make the big play downfield. Yes, he holds the ball too long at times and takes unnecessary sacks; but his ability to keep plays alive and make something out of nothing far outweigh the negativity of getting sacked a few times a game.
As far as the playoffs, the AFC is really loaded. I think the Steelers will win 11 games. The remaining schedule is tough in a few spots but not overwhelming (2 games with Nati, Cleveland, Oakland, Carolina, Bills, Jets, New England and Baltimore) They should win enough games to get at least a wildcard. If they want to win the AFC North they will have to beat Baltimore later in the year.
As far as memorizing Steeler facts, don't need study. For the most part retention of facts is easy and comes from having watched them religiously for 35 years.
Who Dat? It's time for a miracle and beating the Steelers would be a nice one
Don't take my word for it. I'm the guy who said the Yankees would be playing tonight. No harm though. I hate the Yankees.
Maybe I shouldn't say it, but the Steelers are overrated this year.
Tied at the half but a long half to still play. Who Dat
They are not holding someone else's.
To be honest I did not think they had much of a chance.
Who LUCKY Dat
Thank you
XLV = 4
Steeler offensive play calling was terrible.
You Who Dat's got luckly, I think. There was some funny wins this week, (SF,OAK,DET). The Saints wasn't outrageious. Now if BUF had beat KC that would have been something. You think maybe it's all fixed, someone in Hollywood just dreams this all up every week.
Sloppy but a win. Lucky? Don't knw about that, seemed most of the cals went the Steelers way. But it is a win
Here we go again. Another week, another round of the "NFL loves the Steelers". Boy, I wish they had loved the Steelers for the first 39 years of our history when we only won ONE playoff game.
I am confused, however, as to what calls the Steelers received. The biggest call in the game was instant replay REVERSING the Steeler TD. The Steelers had to settle for a FG. I do NOT recall any big breaks the Steelers actually got. The Saints received a roughing the passer call, a pass interference call in the endzone, were fortunate to have Betts actually drop a ball before the half to allow the FG unit to get on the field, and were the beneficiaries of a rare Heath Miller fumble with 6 minutes to go at the Saints 35 yard game in a 13-10 game.
The bottom line is that it was a very good defensive struggle throughout. The Saints defense came to play for 60 minutes. Ultimately, Brees showed why he is top tier QB in the league as he was brilliant in the second half.
And finally, Chengster, congrats on the win, but just remember that when you think of Black and Gold in the NFL, there is really only one team that should come to mind....and that's the Steelers!

There you go again with fact and figures in an argument. You as bad as a woman. LMAO What do you do memorize the damn Steelers games anyway. I saw a little of the game, must confess I had the Steelers. I new it was a mistake as I thought they would bring their own refs, playing in LA and all. LOL.
Really what I wanted to mention of note was the fact that Big Ben looks out of shape. I saw him running with the ball and he looked like a sack of potatoes rumbling across the field. Now I know he's not paid to run the ball but he looks over weight and slow.
Are these guys going to be in the playoffs?

There was one play where he was about to get sacked and he just sort of threw the Saint off his back like a bug. Might not look like he is in shape but he ain't no slouch.
And I think you are right, they should go far this year. The Saints, well they have brief but intense moments of glory, then they turn around and lose to a team like Cleveland. I think the biggest problem the Steelers have will be the Ravens
