2ND HALF, 2010 NBA FINALS, WORST/MOST BIASED OFFCIATING IN HISTORY!!!!!!angry_smile

Any type of finals of any sport should never be decided by refs/umps, EVER!!

They put their whistles away in the 1st half and are to be commended for it (I was surprised they let them play).
And who was ahead?

But, come the 2nd half, anytime the C's grazed a faker, whistle.
Garnett was mauled (almost continually fouled on offense) by the big men; no whistle(s).
So was Pierce, especially on late 20 ft and 3 pt attempts; no whistle(s).
Bryant or Gasol get the ball and a marginal grazing at best brings about a foul.
Artest elbows Pierce in the chest on a shot attempt and gets a whistle!

Truly sad when you're handed a game so important by the refs!
Obviously there was more than one ref on the take than Mr D.

Not only that, the network has a half-time report on Bryant and the NBA commercials were all about who?!?
Bryant/Lakers!

This was a FIX!!!

... instead of someone in the NBA DOING something about this atrocity ...

It may look that way, honey.
But, it still true.
I really don't mind losing to another team (except the Colts).
But when it's blantant and glaring (as this was), it needs to be said.

Talk about a stat needing an asterisk!!!
None ever needed one more than this!

No one will talk about it but us fans ...

I watched Doc's after game conference. He hinted about it many times .. wish he would just SAY it.

And of course all the on air commentator's are Laker fans, so no hope there! :-D

37-17 free throw attempts. How in the HELL can you not let the players decide who wins game 7 for the title? How? Both teams played as physical as the other.

Ron Artest finished with 2 fouls ... OMG ...

Even as I type this I have had enough. My last post on this ... until next season.

Night everyone, and sweet dreams ...

celtics should have taken care of business in game 6 and it would never chanced coming to this.

on the officiating it just went both ways.
there were free throw issues in boston as well.
the series was called really tight.

RASHEED WALLACE ACTUALLY WENT TO THE REFEREES' DRESSING ROOM AND KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AND DEMANDED
TO TALK THEM/OR AN EXPLANATION
SECURITY ESCORT HIW AWAY AND GOT INTO THE TEAM BUS WITH HIS UNIFORM ON

The fact that Rasheed is a well known nut-job may have been the reason he wasn't allowed to speak to the officials.

an offensive rebound or two they would have won. You don't rebound, you don't win.

I agree about the refs, on both sides. This was more of a mugging than basketball. Trust me, the Lakers had plenty of no-calls when Garnett, Pierce and Allen were hacking the Lakers.

You sound like a spoiled loser. Good, because as a Laker fan, there is no better feeling than beating the Celtics and the city of Boston. Get over it, the Celtics lost, and with it Rivers is gone, Allen is probably gone, Garnett is a shell of his former self. It will be another 20 years for the Celtics to reach the Finals, which is a good thing.

P.S. I hope to God, that Manny hits multiple home runs this weekend at Fenway.

East Coast Defense? Bullshit.

The Celtics mugged the Lakers in the first half with few calls. You are correct that the 37-17 was way off....it should have been 57-17.

No rebounds.....NO RINGS.

LA shot 26% in the first half (I didn't look it up, but that has to be among the worst shooting halfs in Finals history), Kobe shot 6-24..Boston played some great defense, if they can't win a game where they shut down the Lakers like that, that's on them...

The 1988 NBA Finals is still my favorite LA championship (can't forget James Worthy's triple double against Detroit's brutal defense), but last nights victory was a close second...

Easy money for me on this kind of bet and I'll look forward next NBA Champion game in 2011.

I guess California is the winemaking capital of the country and Boston is the whinemaking capital.

that is was the worst PLAYED game in history. Nevermind the officiating. Yes, it was bad, but the game was lost on the floor, by BOTH teams. Any second string college team in the country could have beaten those two teams combined last night. I heard one sportscaster this morning, saying that it was a "low-scoring, well played defensive game". WTF?...It was far from a well played defensive game. If fact, it was quite offensive. Every sports fan that watched should have been offended. It was the worst played championship game that I've ever seen in any sport. The team that sucked the least won the game. Pitiful at best!!!!!

I don't know who use to say that, but I missed the game due to work, and I need to find someplace that is replaying the game to check it out. I'm wondering though, if all the pressure that was brought to bear due to the records both teams have in the play-off and championships games, particularly the ones between them, played a big part in the caliber of play. Just a thought.

Why is it that every time the Celtics lose, it was the fault of the officiating, or because somebody was hurt, or because the lighting in the arena was sub-par?  Give me a break.

Boston fans sure can dish it out when they win (which is rare these days), but sure can't face the music when beaten by a superior team.
