You would think he could afford to hire a limo or at least a couple of cabs - but 13 people in one car designed for 4 .... dang.

Tackles: 29

INTs: 1
Miami Beach Police say they tried to stop the 25-year-old player when they noticed he was driving a truck packed with 13 people early Sunday along Ocean Drive. They say the vehicle was meant for only four people.

Police say Starks kept driving even as an officer was beside the truck. They say Starks swerved the vehicle slightly, hitting the officer in the chest and pinning him against another vehicle stopped in heavy traffic.

The officer wasn't injured, but Starks was charged with aggravated battery.

Starks remained held in a Miami jail on Sunday afternoon. A message left at the office of his agent was not immediately returned.

Why?  Because they never had to make a independent decision a suffer the consequences. Either a coach, or overzealous parent and later an agent will make all the decision for them and if they get in trouble, someone will talk the authorities out of it.  Until it becomes too serious.

professional/college athlete that the regular rules of conduct don't apply to them. They think they are above the rules and laws of society. Too many of them have the "Do you know who I am?" attitude, and that it's sufficient to explain away their behavior.
