This is not a joke. So Rory McIlroy signs a $250M Nike contract, switches clubs to Nike, and proceeds to play like shit at the Honda Classic. He played so bad that he walked off the course after 9 holes, and blamed it on being in a bad place mentally, then switching to a wisdom tooth pain excuse.

Daniela Holmqvist of the LPGA, playing in a qualifying tournament in Australia 2 weeks ago, gets bit in the ankle by a redback venomous spider (cousin to the black widow), uses a golf tee to cut into her ankle to extract the venom. And then she played the rest of her round and shot a 74.

And marikod, if you are reading this, who in the hell is Ryan Kelly?

brilliant and superb comments often grace this board regarding ACC basketball and the overachieving Duke Blue Devils, hasn't responded, I'll throw in my 2 cents.

Regarding Rory-He's sucked since switching to Nike clubs-Good topic-Walking off was a spoil butt move and didn't win him any fans. Here's hoping Wozniacki cuts him off for a week or so.

Regarding Ryan Kelly.......just ask the 'Canes-lol

grin    The ACC castoffs, the twins, were a big help for the team and it was nice they could find a weaker league they could get some playing time in and contribute. Ben Howland (don't USC fans call him 'the Lizard of Westwood'? smile) says that Muhammed is gone-too bad-He's a great player-  Given the recent pics, Howland would have a great career in 'beer pong' if the coaching deal doesn't work out.

Seriously, Howland, has done a great job for the Bruins and is a great coach.

McIlroy's not Irish. He's from Northern Ireland, part of the UK.

who actually are ranked and are coming on strong. If only Josh Smith had not left. He was really good if he could have lost weight. Tony Parker has been a disappointment. Shabazz though is really good.

      True, Miami left Kelly wide open but wow was he hot.

     And speaking of taking flight, watch God Bless Bank of America next week when they announce a dividend. Buy and hold, my friend.

    Are you still Vegas bound for the NCAA tournament? If so, indicate the week and I'll get with GG and see if we can work out a date for our dinner.
