What a battle!  I feel so bad for Andy, he deserves to win the way he played.

Congratulations Roger, G Slam #15 and counting.

With Rafa out, a match like this, with R-Fed getting his record, with him having to work so hard, with people getting a major show, with Roddick gaining some appreciation and fans...for the sport in general, it was a good day.

If Rafa is back in good shape by the US Open, it could be really interesting there if Roddick keeps his game up, too.

This definitely WAS good for tennis!  That Federer got his 15th was really no surprise.  The surprise was how close it was, and how he almost didn't get it.  In any case, congrats to Federer, and also to Roddick for making it a real nail-biter!

When I turn it on it was near the end of 5th (or at least I thought it was).  I figure it'll be over soon and turn it off, and started working out.  I finished my workout and turned it back on, and the match was still on.  Darn it, Pete never had commercials like that!  MJ congratulating him, does he even know who he is? lol  Very classy of Pete to be in attendance.

I remember the match between Conner and Borg in 1980 Wimbledon, it was Borg last win and I believe he won just one more majors.....Combined with last year loss to Raffy, the world has finally caught up with Roger

Roger is 27 and Pete retired at the age of 31. Didn't he win his last major, the US Open at 31. So if Federer plays another 4 years, competes in 16 majors, there is a good chance he will win another 5 majors. Federer's only competition now is Tiger Woods. Tiger will eclipse Nicklaus's 18 majors. The question is, which one will have more majors at the end of their career. My bet is on Tiger as golfers reach their prime in their 30s.
