This sham of an attempt to bring everything up to PC code, as defined by the left, has worked at the college level, where the crusty feminists and other assorted leftist filth reign over the once great centers of higher learning have changed college mascots (Syracuse University to name just one), but this hasn't gained much traction at the professional level.
It's not like these franchises are named the "Washington Druken Injuns", that would be mocking Indians in a negative way. There is no shame meant by having the franchise named for Indians in an honorable way. The Redskins are "football warriors" to an extent like the Indians who fought against the colonists were warriors.
The New York Yankees are named after northern white men, where is the outrage there?? Typical PC double standard.
