the redskins are still by all means a bad team. they will be lucky to go 8-8. that alone DQs him from ALL mvp discussion. if they by some miracle finish 11-5, this may be a good choice. remember, just a year ago a man by the name of cam newton had the best year EVER by a rookie qb, with an nfl rookie record 4000 yards passing ( which may only last a year, thanks a lot Luck!) and had an nfl qb record 14 rushing tds. RG3 is on every smart gamblers list of guys you cant count on to play all 16 games. the way he plays, he will get popped. 6 weeks into his career, he already has a head injury. one more, and the team will be forced to sit him for at least a game or 2, or risk his future.
I know it's still early, but it's still fun to speculate, here are my top 3 in order..........
1. Arian Foster
2. Matt Ryan
3. Tom Brady
3rd in passing 1507 yards
2nd in TDs 13
2nd in QB rating 106.1
5-0 record
but anything can happen. if minnesota keeps this up, AP or harvin will demand votes.
i think its safe to say i was right when i said aaron fraudgers would be in for a huge let down of a season. hardly on pace for 45+ tds and 6 picks this year. for the 2-3 fudge packers. that have lost to 2 rookie qbs and alex smith
The MVP is always handed out to either a Running Back or Quarterback. There has never been a Wide Receiver that won the NFL MVP.
Imagine that, if Jerry Rice in his hay day never won, then no Wide Receiver will ever win it. If the Texans continue to win, and Foster doesn't get hurt, my bet is he will win it.
percy harvin isnt the WR jerry rice was, but he is a far superior athlete that is way more versatile than rice. harvin could get 1300 yards receiving, 400 rushing and have a couple KR tds. and that would be no shock at all to those of us who saw him as a 12th grader. and with that team, unless AP goes crazy, he could have a shot at it.
that said, if we look at history, we should know peyton manning will be mvp if the broncos go even 8-8. the voters love some peyton manning.
1987 Pro Football Writers Association voted Jerry Rice the NFL MVP!
Voted for John Elway as the NFL MVP. That's the official one.

Good one about Sanchez. thanks for the update on the OSP. I miss him and the little lady!
Glad to hear OSP and his better half are well.
No doubt he was rooting for the YANKEES ![]()

Thank you
2012 = 28
To his credit, he has absolutely no play makers at the skilled positions (RB's Receiver's)......
I'm not saying he's an elite QB, but with help around him, you can win games. And for everyone that thinks Tebow is the answer, good luck with that.
kerley is playing really well. they miss holmes though. and they havnt had a running back in a while now
the MVP after both Weeks 5 & 6.
Yeah, baby. No MVP picks here, just that Big Blue keeps on winning... ![]()
FYI RG3 and Arian Foster are currently tied for the most Rushing TDs this season...
Impressive by anyone's standards considering he's a QB.

We'll see what the seasons brings. He definitely rallies our team and we play better. I've been to every home game and the Falcons game (the only undefeated team in the league currently) wasn't swinging the Falcons way. After RG3 was injured, morale took a downturn and shyt happened. Nonetheless. Look at Peyton Manning, he held the Colts together for years, and once he was out the team turned to mush. If you have to have one superstar player, that player should be the Quarterback. The Panthers defense is a struggle. So regardless of how many TDs Cam accounted for the Defense gives up just as many if not more. That's why that worked out how it did. Redskins' defense isn't the best but we've definitely stepped. In 5 games this season our defense has already scored more points than it did ALL last season. While that may not be impressive to you, progress is progress. Don't count the Redskins out.
they are progressing, but progress has never made a man the mvp. mr griffin is far from worthy of any peyton manning comparisons, though in a nutshell the point makes sense. rookie of the year for sure, mvp, not in the cards.
