Manny Ramirez signed a contract with Tampa Bay, along with Johnny Damon. Looks like the Rays felt that they couldn't win with youth, so now they'll try to win by getting older.
Seeing Manny and Damon playing against the Sox and the Yankees on a regular basis will be amusing, but a competitive Rays team adds more spice to the incessant YankMes vs Red Sox marketing that is shoved down our throats, so hopefully they will be competitive.
They should both receive warm welcomes when they go to Boston and New York. Hopefully, they'll bring people to the ballpark also, if for nothing else than Manny's entertainment value.
