Okay... The Cavs are far from an elite team... But the way the Knicks won the game, very encouraging... The Knicks bench played great... They have tough remaining schedule... So we are really gonna see what they are made of come playoff time...
...as they have to play extremely well to even think about sliding up to the #6 seed in the East.
Unfortunately, they seem to want to hover around the .500 mark placing them at #7 or #8. Having to face Chicago or Miami in the first round will result in a quick exit once again.
Let me just say this... Even if the Knicks do happen to finish with the 6th or 7th seed... They are a dangerous playoff opponent. These are not the Knicks of a few years ago... This team has talent and a deep bench... It's just a matter of chemistry and staying healthy...
The east has two elite teams Heat & Celtics... Indiana & Philly are playing well... Orlando, Atlanta & Boston way too inconsistent & distracted...
I honestly believe that the 76ers are currently the 3rd best team in the east... But when all is said and done... Look out for the Knicks... Again with the exception of the Heat and Bulls the remaining teams are just pretenders... Not putting the Knicks in the championship game yet... But barring a major injury to a key player they will pose a threat... Believe it.
The chemistry hope has been there far over a year now, and there is no sign of it getting better.
Face it, the Knicks don't pass, can't rebound, and can't shoot the ball well. That is an incredibly bad combination for a D'Antoni team ... Knicks will ultimately get swept in the first round ... Believe that.
