Finally, there's going to be a college football playoff. Of course we've gotta wait until 2014, but who cares.   In the end the money won out.

yeah, its kinda dumb NOBODY wanted a playoff, but as soon as they all get left out of the title game for 2 sec squads, who were the best 2 teams ( sorry OKST.) they get sand in their little panties and want to switch it up. i dont know that 4 teams really helps much, i say its gonna cause a lot more hurt feelings. needs to be 8 teams. there have been years where the 5th best team was every bit as good as the 2nd best ( think when miami last won it all. nebraska, texas, colorado, florida, and oregon were all basically the same team. 1 or 2 losses each in major power conferences) but the 9th best team will never have a valid arguement to be included.

about fairness, even admitting that it's about money. But the truth is that the rest of college football got tired of not being able to beat the SEC (note 6 consecutive BCS championship wins), and they came up with this plan that says, "Since we can't beat them on the field, we'll LEGISLATE against them." And who's to say that this twelve-member committee will be any better than what we have now? And teams like Boise State and TCU aren't going to be any better off than they are now. You think we hear moaning and groaning when the NCAA basketball tournament selections are made? You haven't heard anything yet!

that i love it. this changes nothing about the domination the sec has given us lately. be it bama or lsu, or maybe in a few years my gators will be back on top, but whoever it is, the sec WILL have at least 1 of the 4 teams, and WILL win more often than not. these others teams cant play the way we do in the sec, and it shows come bowl season.

as for tcu, they get no love, despite being a really good team. i feel kinda bad for those guys. boise? screw boise.
