Back in May, when pitching against the Marlins, Halladay walked Jay Bruce, and that was the only batter that prevented him from pitching a no-hitter then. Imagine if, 2 no-hitters in a single season, no one has ever done that. Maybe next time.
Dude, you're very confused.  Here's what you got wrong:

1)  Halladay DID pitch 2 no-hitters this season.  A perfect game (no hits, no walks) in May against the Marlins.  And a no-hitter (1 walk, to the Reds' Jay Bruce) tonight in the playoffs.

2)  Jay Bruce has never been a Marlin.

3)  Walking a batter does NOT prevent a no-hitter.

4)  A handful of other pitchers HAVE pitched 2 no-hitters in the same season, the last being Nolan Ryan in '73.  Virgil Trucks did it in '52.  Allie Reynolds in '51.  And Johnny Vander Meer on consecutive starts in '38.  (But Halladay is the first to have 1 of his 2 no-no's be a perfect game.)

Only Don Larsen was better than Roy Halladay was tonight.  With all due respects to Bill Bevens, Cookie Lavagetto, and 1947...history was made tonight!  And I enjoyed my evening with my favorite provider, watched our Yankees come from behind and win...Granderson two run triple, and Tex's two-runner the following inning.  Oh, what a night!

It was a good game , good pitching and hitting, many contributed to the win.

Oh and the YANKS are such good sports they gave the twins 4 outs in the bottom of the 9th.

Thank You
2010 = 28

Only 4 balls were hit out of the infield, a total of 25 pitches were balls, and Halladay is the first pitcher in the post-season to get more hits himself (1) than he gave up (0). And he had first-pitch strikes on 25 out of 28 hitters.

Agreed. He had command of every one of his pitches and they literally didn't have a prayer of getting a hit off of him unless it was a little flair, blooper or gork. Amazing performance!

Interesting stat--"got more hits than he gave up".  The NL plays real baseball rather than using the DH.

So much for Post-Season inexperience. That was his first playoff appearance ever. Not a bad debut.
