It was a pretty straight forward victory, other than the 3rd set.  Djokovic now has beaten Nadal 5 times in a row. He's now #1 in the world. It'll be interesting to see if the pressure of being #1 gets to Djokovic and will he be able to win 3 out of 4 majors this year,  by taking the US Open later this summer.

When Rafa came back from his injury strong and proved to Federer that his reign was truly over, I think a lot of people assumed he was going to have things pretty much his way and potentially walk his way to beating Fed's grand slam title record.

All of the sudden, Djokovic has taken his game to a new level, and Rafa has serious competition.

Definitely good for tennis.

the court and blasting monster ground strokes to set up winning points-What's telling is that Novak won most of the long rallies, which in the past has been Rafa's domain against the rest of the tour-Nadal threw everything but the kitchen sink vs. ND, and still the ball came back with interest-I am a Rafa fan, but he was clearly shaken following the match-I see little chance for him at the Open where the hardcourts are his worst surface and Djokovic's best-IMHO, Rafa plays way too far behind the base line at the Open and despite his great speed and shotmaking ability, cannot beat the Big Boys with this strategy as while he has more time due to his positioning, the opposition has more time due to the increased distance to prepare for HIS shots. I will be surprised if he makes it to the Open final.  A no. of others can take him out there, including Murray and Del Potro, who appears to be playing well again following his wrist injury.
