Hell and a LB won the MVP
There wasn't much offence going on today.
The bookies lost a lot of cash today.

Don't disagree that the zebras blew some in Denver's favor...but 6 false starts, umpteen 1 and 2 yard runs on 1st down IN A ROW, special team screw ups like blocks in the back and letting the kick returner loose for 60 yards, many turnovers, dropped passes, Newton NOT running, missed throws and a makeable FG and Carolina seemed to do it's best to do the things to lose-Cost me a few hundred and was disappointed-Carolina's defense did its job, but no one else on the team did-Denver deserved the win...Carolina did not 1rob....a tad poorer today....out

Panthers, they STILL would have lost.
They were just out played and exposed.what I am puzzled about is I don't think they even mentioned the Carolina all pro tackle (Short?) all game. Did he not show up, or were they letting him be held?
He did jump away from that fumble. Had to laugh at that one.
Over all it was a very bad day for Cam!
art of being a professional football player, especially being the player who is the face of your franchise, is handling adversity. It's not easy, but it goes with the territory. Yes, you should despise loosing and you should be upset/angered after a bitter loss. But you then have to go out there and face the proverbial music and answer all the questions... no matter how annoyed you are. If you are a top tier QB, chances are you are going to loose playoff games/Super Bowls throughout your career. Nature of the game. But you have to learn to be professional and take the good with the bad.
Cam is one of the young QB's the NFL would love to build around. Heisman winner, league MVP, does a lot of good things in the community and obviously has a strong bond with young children (I think giving them footballs after he scores is tremendous on his part). They see him as a role model. I hope Cam learns from his post SB behavior, because he really has the assets and attributes to be one of the faces of the NFL for a long time. If I am his teammates, however, I am more annoyed at him for not attempting to dive on the loose football. 6 point deficit, game on the line. You have to throw your body in there and try and make a play. It's the Super Bowl, not week 3 of the regular season. That was disappointing
But the media is partially to blame for this. In the two weeks leading up to the game, they practically anointed Cam as "the face of the NFL for the next 15 years! All hail Cam!" Then, when he didn't dance the way they expected him to at their puppet show, they turned on him. Publicly, his teammates have supported him; what was said in the locker room really doesn't concern anyone else. I think he can learn from this and won't let it taint his career. At least, I hope so.

To blame it on the media is just ridiculous.
All we've heard for decades is how "Sports build character and teach about life" and he's taken a massive dump on that telling kids to be a-holes after they lose.
I listen to sports radio most of the day and he's been getting crucified for this non-stop (along with jumping away from that fumble).
It wouldn't surprise me if some of his sponsors make him apologize or drop him. Gatorade can't run commercials about sportsmanship with his face in the ads and be taken seriously.
All too often they only have to look at their own coaches. I did volunteer for a local high school for a number of years, and I saw more than one coaches have a come-apart for not winning by a large enough margin. And parents are sometimes worse than coaches.
...Can someone give me a valid rationale for the Panthers punting the ball away with 2 minutes on the clock while down two touchdowns? Sure it was 4th and long from deep in their own half when they did so, but surely the punt is just as losing as going for it on 4th and not making it? Surely praying for a special teams turnover there (and it would have to be special teams, because as I recall the Broncos just ran the ball up the middle and kneeled subsequently) is less valid than trying to go deep?
(Maybe I'm just too much of a baseball guy and don't get this football stuff, but that seemed dumb to me.)If you don't make it, you give the other team the ball on a short field. If Denver works it in for a field goal, it becomes a 3-score game. Plus, I don't think Rivera thought they could make it, given the trouble Denver's defense had been giving them.
Yes, but if you don't make it on 4th down, you give Denver a shorter field to work with and an almost sure 3 points. A punt puts them farther away from your own goal line and gives your defense a better change of holding them scoreless.
