what we saw was the better team start playing after a terrible first half and the falcons nearly do what they always do. by your logic when carolina beat your failcons the falcons were just desperate when they started to come back? they werent the better team?
How is it Carroll"s loss and not the Falcon's win ? one , maybe two calls. The Falcons ran on them which wasn't supposed to happen and they stuffed them entire first half.
they stuffed them the whole first and still managed to be lucky as fuck to win. seattle should have kicked 2 fgs in the first half. atlanta didnt stop them from trying them, the coach did. that would have been 6 more points. so seattle would have been up 34-27 and that fg at the end could have never happened. it isnt bitching, crying or anything else...its called MATH. learn some. those 2 calls were the difference in the game.
i agree the defense didnt do what they needed, but carroll could have had 2 first half fgs. add 6 to the 28 they scored and they win. coaching cost them...
EVERY point scored in a game will change the play calling. Period. So simply saying that if Seattle kicks 2 FG's in the first half, they would have won 34-30 is obviously wrong.
First, assuming that the game played out exactly the same (which it wouldnt), Seattle's last touchdown, adding the 6 points, would have put them up 34-27 with 30 seconds left. Obviously the Falcons are not driving down trying to kick a FG just so they can loose by 4 points.
Also, after Seattle scored their third TD to pull within 27-21, according to your logic, the score instead would have been tied at 27. Do you think the Falcons call plays differently in a tied game v. being up six points? Of course they do.
The whole complexion of the game changes with each and every score. You can't view any missed opportunity to score (unless its the final play of the game) and say the outcome would have been different. Doesnt work that way.
the fact is seattle shut atlanata down in the second half. that is unlikely to change just because the score changes. do you think atlanta wasnt still trying to drive, score and win the whole time?
thanks. im just pointing out what i saw. i give credit to atlanta that they came back, but it doesnt take much to see that if seattle kicks the 2 fgs ( one on 4th and 1 at the 12, the other at the end of the 1st half INSTEAD of running a play and risking a sack) they are up 34-27 and that fg at the end never happens
