Just about the only thing the Jets did better than the Patriots was SUCK!
Colors, sanchez isnt ready, he cant take presure, jets beat horrible teams the past 4 weeks.
he is a young QB and has some tough lessons to learn. The NY press always over hypes the NY teams, all the NY teams. And the fans are not forgiving. But neither Ryan nor Sanchez oversold.
Brady/Belicheck, how many Super Bowl rings do they have? I think it was an uphill battle for the Jets. They beat them once this year which isn't all bad.
Starting with the Jets being loud-mouthed, (non) reality TV stars, then 13 weeks of RR hype ("We're gonna hit you in the f*cken mouth!!) and BS, leading up to MAJOR 'foot in mouth' talk that chubby spouted this week (among others Liorr/Rjai).
Tonight the Jets got punched in the mouth, curled up and quit!!
Rex Ryan interview - "Worse butt-whippin' I've ever taken as a coach".
These guys SQUEAKED by Detroit, Cleveland, Houston and Cincinnati.
True that a win is a win, but to brag about how good/tough you are requires major back-up.
The only decent teams these guys faced since the beginning of OCT are NE and Green Bay.
And we now know the 'reality' of these games, don't we.
Yes, I do agree that it is only a single game/win, but it also is a statement about who belongs in the 'Elite of the NFL' and who doesn't!!
they never could WALK THE WALK. The latter is hard to do when you go against New Englanders in their home stadium.
I don't count out the jets though I am a realist. There is a good chance they will be playing football in January. There is also a good chance the pats will be playing in New England and January. There is something to be said about playing at Gillette.
All the talk that the Jets are over rated or over-hyped or are completely lucky to be where they are is simply wrong. The Jets are 9-3, which is still a BIG TIME record in the NFL. Since they beat the Ravens on Sunday night, everyone is talking about how the Steelers are one of the favorites to now win it all. Guess what their record is? Right, the same 9-3 as the Jets. The Jets are prob. on their way to a 12-4 or 11-5 season. Those are legitimate records of top tier teams....Teams that should compete for a championship. So they had a really bad game against the Patriots. So did the Steelers a few weeks ago. It happens all the time in the NFL...Didn't the Saints and Patriots both look horrendous against the Browns earlier this year? This is the NFL; sometimes its not your week. Last night was a debacle for the Jets. I suspect that they will bounce back.
But you dont "luck" your way into that type of record. You may be lucky to win a game here and there because of a fortunate bounce or a glaring mistake by an opponent. But at the end of the day, all those breaks even themselves out. If you have a record like the Jets are going to end up with, you are simply a very good football team, one that is a REAL threat to win a SuperBowl.

RYAN, WE TALK THE TALK AND WE BACK IT UP, WE WILL BE BACK, TRUST ME NYC IS ALWAYS THERE WHEN IT MATTERS, GATOR COME GET SOME, I GAVE IT TO GAGAMBLER, GAGAMBLER WHERE ARE YOU HIDING, LOVE SMACKING SPORTS.
It hasn't even been 18 hrs since your teams true abilities/heart were exposed and you're talking jets false-smack?!?
PLEASE!!!!!
Can you take your meds/face reality; even for one day?!?!?
What you/Ryan need is to choke down the serving of humble pie you deservedly got smacked with (you'll need to protect your portion like it's your last meal with a hungry chubby around!).
....4 feild goals in game! LMAO!!!
ROCK KID,
thats how i roll, let nyc give some smackdown to miami, you know what i am saying, let good times roll.
on poor decisions made by players in the moment does not make you a good or significant team.
With a little 'luck' the other way, the jets could easily be 5-7 right now after their previous 4 games!
Squeaking by poorly performing teams does not make you a good team!
And good teams with great QB's/coachs do not make these kinds of game-losing mistakes!!
I heartily agree that 1 game does not a bad team make.
But looking at the jets recent body of work (last 5 games) does little to dissuade the fact they have proven themselves to be a marginal team at best.
A good team has a bad game (like NE did against Cleveland) and comes back to beat both Pittsburgh and Indy decisively in sucessive weeks.
A good team has a bad first half, gathers itself, rallys together and shows poise/ability in the face of adversity (see NE vs. Detroit on Turkey Day).
But most important of all, in the NFL, a good team gets their sh*t together and plays their best ball in December!!
Honestly, based on their last 5 games, which direction do you think the jets are heading in?!?

What does that gibberish nonsense even mean?!?
My nephew makes more sense/has better football knowledge than you and he's 8 years old!!!!
