Should be interesting who makes it in as an inaugural inductee into the Hascar Hall of Fame. Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip were announced today as 2 of the 25 nominees, with the remainder to be announced Thursday night on Speed. Only 5 will be inducted.
My 5 picks are:
Richard Petty
Dale Earnhardt
Junior Johnson
Cale Yarborough
Benny Parsons
I'll go with Petty and Earnhardt, plus Benny Parsons for his contributions on and off the track.
Duh, as I don't think this is limited to drivers, Bill France Sr will most definitely be a most probable member of the first five. I'll remove Cale from my prediction list.
Inaugural inductions are always hard, especially if the first class is limited. There have been so many over the years who have made NASCAR what it is, drivers, owners, organizers, etc.
in IndiANAPLOSIS 500 AND Le Mans. All those guys you mentioned are simply some of the best drivers ever.
