With all the shuffling and moving going on, wonder what the landscape of college sports will look like in a few years. As was mentioned in a previous post, Pittsburgh and Syracuse are heading for the ACC, with Connecticutt and Rutgers rumored to follow. Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are making another push to join the Pac-12, and it looks like it'll be a done deal this time. Don't forget Texas A&M heading to the SEC. There are also rumblings that the Mountain West and Conference-USA are looking into merging for a football-only arrangement, and the remnants and the Big East and remnants of the Big-12 could also merge. Finally, the darling of college football, Notre Dame (puke, barf, retch) has said they prefer to keep their current set-up, but if they have to give up their independent status in football, they prefer the ACC to the Big-10. Stay tuned. There will probably be more to follow.
