he came into a good team, 9-7 the year before with favre ( or maybe it was 7-9) but they were 7-3 before he got hurt. they traded up for who many thought was the best qb in the draft ( over stafford) and they got another usc qb bust. team gets worse every year. even rex ryan has largely stopped talking about how great they are. the weapons around him arent great, but i like jeremy kerley and dustin keller. i dont love cam newtons weapons either, or rg3s weapons...but those 2 look like nfl qbs most weeks. as for the NYJ...its TE-BOW TIME

There are QB's who in spite of the problems around them can put teams on their back. They can mask the flaws of the offense (poorous offensive line, average players at the skilled positions, etc,) and make the necessary plays at critical times to win games.

It has become apparent that Mark Sanchez is not one of those QB's. When the Jets were rolling to two AFC Championship games in a row, Sanchez was extremely efficient. But he was the beneficiary of an excellent offensive line, a running game built to churn out yards and control the time of possession and a defense that was very consistent each week. If you have the pieces around Sanchez, he has proven to be a solid game manager. Yes, you can win with Sanchez at QB but you better have the team around him. If you look at the roster last year and in particular this year (are you listening Mike Tannenbaum) the Jets are deficient in too many areas. Their offensive line is not as good as 2-3 years ago. Their running game has been mediocre to poor. And, once Santonio Holmes was lost for the year, do they really have WR's/TE's that keep defensive coordinators up at night? Couple that with a defensive that is simply just not as good (Loosing Revis obviously was a blow) and it is no surprise that the Jets are a below average football team.

Is Greg McElroy the answer? Who the heck knows...he has played a 1/2 of a game as a pro. Sanchez was so bad Ryan had no choice but to turn to McElroy. The Jets were fortunate they were playing a team that was completely offensively inept and he did just enough to secure a victory. Obviously, if McElroy starts next week and wins, he will be the QB going forward for 2012. At that point, its going to be tough to bring Sanchez back. Rex has a really hard call to make this week.

The Arizona Cardinals have nothing at QB. I live in Phoenix metro area, I love listening to sports radio up here. the announcers are homers and most of them were saying Playoffs and super bowl cus the Cardinals were 4-0 and had beaten the Patriots in one of their wins. Now, guess what .....all you hear from them is excuses. Plain and simple, they need to fire the head coach and start over with a new QB and draft offensive linemen. I also hear from the announcers that its not Coach Wisenhunts fault.... my question to them was "who the friggin decided the Arizona Cardinals QB's were Kobb, Skelton and Lindley"? I thought it was the Head Coach and GM? See Mark Sanchez has a place to go ..... Arizona will sign him!!!!!! It's all good here and in fact I am listening to the Phoenix sports radio comedy hours.

Green Bay Packers fan, GO PACK GO !!!

arizona may have it bad, but they are trying. they paid a hefty price for Kolb, who many thought could be good. they gave the young guns Skelton and Lindley a shot. the jets had no shot this year the moment the Patriots didnt change divisions. they should have went to Tebow in week 4. he isnt great himself, but he got Denver from 1-4 to the second round of the playoffs.

against Jacksonville. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out from week to week.
