His 105 mph pitch to Tony Gwin is the fastest ever radar recorded pitch. Gwin said after, that he never saw the ball until it was behind him. It was an inside pitch for a ball. Gwin then fouled out.

back in the day a few ptchers probably reached 105 or 105+. But it's an amazing feat. They tried to use Chapman as a reliever today. He wasn't throwing that fast or well when I saw him but it was at 100 or so. What did Nolan Ryan throw at, 100, 101. Use to watch him at Anehiem. Not sure they had acurate guns at that time.
