So, game 6 is tomorrow night. Detroit can win the cup. It starts at 8 pm eastern time. One hour later, the NBA final begins.
The scheduler for the NHL should be fired. The league is losing money, franchises are going under, and they put a potential cup winning game on the same night as the NBA finals.
And then the NHL wonders why NASCAR draws more viewers.
I agree that it majorly sucks to have both sports on the same nights.
However, hockey is actually undergoing a bit of a renaissance in interest and attendance. Attendance was up for most of the NHL this year, and TV numbers are good for them.
I haven't seen a single NBA game in years, unless you count some guy at the blackjack table asking if I can see the score from my seat.
If you're a hockey fan, you'll watch hockey. If you're not, you won't. Basketball won't impact that decision. Although, I can understand that the NBA might want to think about not scheduling their games when there is something interesting on TV. How about games at 4 AM???
