anyone have any thoughts on how their team did? which teams did the best? any players that might be future studs.

I think my knicks did ok at best. hardaway jr could develop into a nice bench shooter, but we need a big that can score.

I think philly did great by turning a top 15 point guard into 2 of the top potential guys in the draft, the kings got the guy that I think right  now is the best player in ben mclemore, and I think Utah getting trey burke was a GREAT move.

burke, mclemore, cj mccolum are the 3 guys that stand out to me as future all stars.

and I think Cleveland and Orlando may have made the WORST 1-2 picks in draft history.

I haven't said that in a while lol

Alex Len went number 5. I enjoyed watching him and applaud his decision to leaving that loser school he was attending. How long has it been since a turtle went that high in the draft?

not sure, but I would guess nobody from Maryland had been a top 10 pick since steve francis in what was it 99?

First Round Selections of the Terps:

# 7   Al Bunge (1960)
# 9 Tom McMillen  and # 13 Len Elmore (1974)
#1 overall John Lucas (1976)
#15 Brad Davis (1977)
# 3 Buck Williams and # 10 Albert King (1981)
# 2 Len Bias (1986). To this day, the greatest college basketball player I have ever seen (I only started watching college ball as a kid in the late 70's..so I didn't see Wilt, Russell, Kareem, Walton or Thompson in college)
#17 Jerrod Mustaf (1990)
# 7 Walt Williams (1992)
# 1 overall Joe Smith (1995). Unfortunately, he was an ordinary Joe
# 28 Keith Booth (1997)
# 2 Steve Francis (1999)
#8 Chris Wilcox (2002)
# 28 Greivis Vasquez (2010)
# 5 Alex Len (2013)

Almost nailed it Kweezy...I would have guessed Francis as well... Forgot about Chris Wilcox

I would usually be hard on myself for missing something a mere decade ago, but chris Wilcox has been rather forgettable in the nba, so I can see why we both missed him.

have made it in the NBA?  Both Allan Iverson and Tiny Archibald in their prime could dunk the ball  on pemetrations to keep from having their shot swatted. Maybe you can compensate with blinding speed and good upper body strength but Burke has neither –he graded out at 3.16 in the three quarter time which is good but slower than Cody Zeller and Phil Pressey who didn’t get drafted.

Who is Burke going to guard in the NBA? Not John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Tony Parker, or Kyrie Irving. They are all faster, bigger, stronger and just better. Maybe Burke can guard Steve Nash but that’s about it. And he will never be a dead eye shooter like Nash.

Sorry, but Utah and the other pro-Burke experts struck out on this one.  Yes, he hit that big shot against Kansas and personally saved me from a $200 loss on the Mich-Kansas game, but Burke will be on the bench if not out of the league in four years

trey burke has "IT". trey burke can flat out ball. who is nate robinson going to guard on a nightly basis? but he has lasted several years as a 6th/7th man and spot starter, and trey burke is a million times more talented than nate will ever be. who did steve nash ever guard? chris paul is 6 feet tall if hes lucky, and he happens to be the best point guard in the league. size isn't everything. nobody said burke will be a HOFer or all time great, but he will be better than at least 6 of the guys picked ahead of him IMO.

besides that, being "on the bench" isn't that bad. Jason terry, jr smith, jamal Crawford and others have made very nice careers coming off the bench.
