so lebron james refused to shake hands with any of the orlando magic.
this guy is a sore loser.
all these kids that look up to his ass, i bet a few of his sponsors aren't too happy about it.

I bet they still sponsor him.  And yes, he was a poor sport about it to say the least.  But I bet Nike keeps their million dollar contract with him.  I bet he still gets another team to sign him next year.  Did you notice he had on a NY hat today?  Hint hint.

Yeah sore loser, without a doubt and I am a Cavs fan.

I wasn't pleased when I saw him leave the court immediately after the game the other night but thought he would at least address the media. He's only 24 years old so I'll let it "slide" but only because I think he's a pretty good guy and I think we'll see a heart-felt apology from him within the next couple of days. He needs to just "man-up" and admit that he screwed up and acted childishly.

Back in the '70's Gerry Cheevers of the Boston Bruins got some heat when after a series was over (win or lose) he skated off the ice and did not participate in the post-game handshake; obviously there was no Internet then, and fewer media outlets, but I remember it.  Lebron did not hesitate to shake hands (read:  gloat) when his team won but just walked off the court after his team lost.  What a big phony.  Even though he never attended college, he's pure NCAA - No Class At All.

If you can accept losing, you can't win.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender.
There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game and that is first place. I have finished second twice in my time at Green Bay and I never want to finish second again.

Show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser.
Vince Lombardi

I liked Lombardi, but that's got to be the stupidest thing he's said. Plenty of top notch athletes have lost, didn't like it, but learned from it, and did it graciously.

Having 3 kids who played sports in school, if they had acted the way Lebron did, they'd hear about it from me, and would not be allowed to compete until they could act with true sportsmen or sportswomenship.

I agree that sportsmanship is an important concept.  However, I also understand the athlete that in the heat of the moment lacks some at the end of a loss.  I am sure that Lebron today wishes he had reacted differently.

Yep! I always hated eating crow.:) It's about as appetizing as mutton without the horseradish.

Try a good mint sauce with the mutton!

If your not first your last!

He could skip the press.  That's understandable.  But the man should have reached his hand out to the winners like all sports TEAMS do.  Everyone who got swept by LeBron and the Cavs in this post season shook his hand. He does act properly just about all of the time so it's just a bump in his road.  He better learn from it though and stop being a punk.

Pussy is not a bad thing, but it should be naturally occurring.

Forbes listed 367 billionaires, not one athlete made it but who is counting

These people are playing a GAME and getting paid for it. Then they have the audacity to feel they can be brats, poor sports, thugs, and it doesn't matter. If what you do for a living is play a game, then you better damn well act better than the 7 year old outside at recess.
