NL anyway. Everyone who controlled their own destiny today took care of business.

SL will host the winner of Cincy/Pitts. I will be DRAGGED to PITTS, now, on tue.

The Braves will hopefully beat down the Doghairs.

Lookin forward to a Detroit/SL series

will spend the next two days deciding who will do what to whom. There's a wild-card play-in game today between Texas and Tampa, then the real wild-card game tomorrow in Cleveland. By the way, congratulations are in store for Terry Francona in getting the Tribe to the playoffs. If he's not Manager of The Year, then something is seriously wrong.

Of course, Detroit has that monster staff with LA a close second.

OSP, can't believe you're pulling for the Bravos to whip my real fave, the Dodgers-smile
but thanks to the Braves for ridding the Rays of the non hustling, loafing crap attitude no hit, decent field BJ (the Whiff) Upton whose batting average is several levels below the Mendoza line last time I checked-I understand several opposing catchers have come down with colds from the breezes kicked up from BJ's too often noncontacted swings -but I digress-

It would be poetic justice if the Tribe could knock off the Red Sox.

They are just a powerhouse. That being said, everything goes to hell in the playoffs.

I would be a very, very happy man.

How the Braves have made it as far as they have without a real ace on the mound, AND carrying two starters that are hitting in the 180's or less is beyond me.

I will still root for them in against the Dodgers, but I don't hold out any real hope that they will beat the Dodgers. I agree with the consensus in expecting a Tigers/Dodgers WS, but I wouldn't completely count out the Bo Sox or The Cards either.

Sorry dude, LA and NY anything make me wanna ralph. If you're nice to me though I'll put a little sumpin-sumpin on Atlanta. That way you're assured they'll(LA)win lol

effen embarassment-of the 4 losses, 3 were quite winable-Goldson-he of the helmet to helmet hit-has accounted for brainless penalties which saved opposing teams, yet he continues to do it-David gave the UGH! Jets the 1st game with dumbest play of the year hitting Geno Smith OB with seconds left to get the Green in field goal range-they've self destructed like a spastic suicide bomber-And Glennon-I'm sure Freeman was smiling Sunday night--after a good 1st 57 minutes, turned into a Jamarcus Russell wannabe for the last 3 minutes and threw 2 ints to seal the loss vs the Cards-gad- 1rob...out    8-)

clubhouse-and on field too-cancer is beyond me-an ego the size of Everest and the hitting talents of a mole hill-maybe they thought the brother combo would click-I can only believe in the Dodgers if they win it all-they've exhausted all capital with me over the last quarter century-with big salaries not getting it done-and playing .500 for most of that period-they were the Giant's Bitches-always enjoy your posts

You have to believe in WAR (I don't really) but based on that the Indians faced a tougher schedule by about a one game margin.

Still the Red Sox scored +100 more runs and allowed fewer as well...

I grew up in the SF bay area and loved that the Dodgers were our "bitches", lmao

Sorry, I just couldn't resist

and you are right about the Upton brothers, the combo looked like it might actually work for about the first two weeks, mainly because Justin started off like a house on fire. Now here we are in October and it's unlikely that we will be starting more that six players with an average over .200. With gaping holes in our lineup like BJ and Uggla, we have to play long ball because we are incapable of mounting any meaningful rallies.

I am not going to concede the NLDS to you just yet, but I will freely admit, your chances look pretty damned good

After rereading this post, maybe you will enjoy it after all. lol
